Black Gram Disease — Blackgram D3
- Numerous spots with pale brown/grey centre and reddish/dark brown margin on leaves, branches and pods.
- Defoliation during flower and pod formation.
- Severe infection leads to premature senescence
- Condiophores - long, multi septate, straight or slightly curved, light brown to brown
- Conidia - sub hyaline or pale oliovaceous, multi septate or slightly curved with obconic base
- Survival: Seed and infected plant debris
- Spread: Wind-borne conidia
- Humid weather
- Drizzling
- Dense plant population
- Remove and burn infected plant debris
- Spray any one of the following fungicides at initiation of disease and second spray at 10 days later.
