Black mould rot: Aspergillus niger
Symptoms
- Yellowing of base – development of irregular, hazy, greyish spots.
- Mesocarp of the rotted area becomes depressed – soft.
- The fruit surface – covered – blackish fungal growth.
- Decrease in ascorbic acid.
