Irrigation

  • Irrigation is given to moist the soil during early period of 10 days.
  • Restoring irrigation to a maximum depth of 2.5 cm after development of hairline cracks in the soil until panicle initiation stage.
  • Increasing irrigation depth upto 5.0 cm after PI and one day after disappearance of ponded water.
  • Alternate wetting and drying irrigation (AWDI) reduces the total number of irrigation given to rice crop.
