• Contour stone wall is constructed where the slope is > 15 to < 30% under the guidance of engineers .
• In case of highly hill areas, contour trenches were constructed along with stone wall.
• It is suitable for shallow and gravel soil.
• It is recommended where difficult to construct bench terrace.
• It helps in land preparation and checks soil erosion.

Note : If the length of the contour stone wall is more than 800 feet, the excess water flow could be guided through contours with proper outlets.
