Pulses — Intercropping Green Gram
- Greengram is intercropped with maize, cumbu, sorghum, redgram, cotton, castor and sugarcane.

- The seed rate of 10 kg /ha is recommended for intercropping system.
- Seed treatment with biofertilizer viz., Rhizobium , and Phosphobacteria , (600 gm each) using rice gruel is recommended.
- When greengram to be raised as an intercrop in maize, sorghum, cumbu, sugarcane do not use Atrazine and 2,4, D as Pre and Post emergence herbicides.
- Apply Pendimethalin at 1 lit /ha as pre emergence herbicide on 3 days after sowing.
