Harvesting: Harvest the pods at physiological maturity (30 days after the 50 per cent flowering) when the colour of 80% of the pods turns black. Over maturity may result in shattering. Keep harvested crop for drying in threshing floor. Threshing can be done either manually or by trampling with tractor. Dry the seeds to 8 - 9 per cent moisture content.
