Seed Treatment

• Coat the seeds with TNAU Vidhai Amirtham @ 68 ml/ kg of seeds.
• TNAU seed pelleting technology may be used to increase the seed size and weight to facilitate precision sowing using seed drill.
• Treat the seeds with Carbendazim @ 2g/kg of seeds (or)
• Treat the seeds with Trichoderma viride @ 4g/kg seeds
• Carrier Based Formulation: Treat the seeds required for one hectare with 600 g each of Azospirillum and Phosphobacteria (or) 1200g of Azophos using rice gruel and shade dry for 30 minutes before sowing
• Liquid Formulation: Treat seeds required for one hectare with 125 ml each of Azospirillum and Phosphobacteria (or) 250ml of Azophos, shade dry for 30 minutes before sowing

Soil Application

• Carrier Based Formulation: 2kg each of Azospirillum and Phosphobacteria (or) 4 kg of Azophos, with 25kg of FYM and 25kg of sand and broad cast at the time of last ploughing
• Liquid Formulation: 500 ml each of Azospirillum, Phosphobacteria (or) 1000ml of Azophos, 25kg of FYM and 25kg of sand and broad cast uniformly at the time of last ploughing
• PPFM spray: Foliar spray @ 500 ml/ha of PPFM (Pink Pigmented Facultative Methylotroph) is recommended to mitigate terminal water stress
