Identification of the pest:
- Adult : Light brown coloured hopper
Management:
- Intercropping of Sesamum + Redgram (6 : 1)
- Seed treatment with imidacloprid 600FS @ 7.5ml/kg seed.
- Remove and destroy sesame plants with phyllody symptom.
- Remove alternate host Cleome viscosa.
- Spray Quinalphos 25 EC @ 800 ml/ac or thiamethoxam 25WG @ 40 g/ac or imidacloprid 17.8 SL @ 40 ml/ac.
