Identification of the pest:

• Nymph: White in early stages and later turns brown
• Adult: Dark brown to black with forceps like caudal cerci and white leg joints

• Apply any one of the following on soil at 40 DAS prior to sowing in endemic areas Malathion 5 D 25 kg/ha Carbofuran 3% CG 50 kg/ha
